Martin Luther King stood for non-violence and love and on Monday several NBA teams held games throughout the league on MLK Day, including the Golden State Warriors.

Santa Cruz Warrior James Michael McAdoo was recently signed to a 10-day contract by the Golden State Warriors and showed the team on MLK Day why they should extend his contract.

The undrafted rookie out of North Carolina was 9th in the Warriors Santa Cruz Developmental League averaging 17.6 points, 9 rebounds and 2.0 steals prior to being called up by Golden State. In his Warriors debut versus the Nuggets McAdoo finished the game with 11 points and 5 rebounds. He also had a block in the game that brought Warriors fans to their feet in the 43 point thrashing by Golden State 122-79.

We asked the humble forward about his big game debut and what Martin Luther King Jr. meant to him.
