It was barely 50-years ago that a player couldn't share the same hotel room with his teammates or even play on the same team without some time of backlash. It was just over 30-years ago that the Martin Luther King holiday was passed taking 15-years to even be passed by legislature.
Fast forward 2015 and the majority of the players in the NBA are of color. Should King me alive today he would be pleased with the progress that has been made but would probably say we still have some mountains to climb.
